The Accolade West was designed as a large-format student housing solution that extends beyond the building itself to help shape the redevelopment identity of Collegiate Way near UCF. Located directly across from campus, the five-story community delivers 1,100 beds in 366 units and works in tandem with surrounding retail and dining uses to reinforce an active student-oriented corridor. Its site planning leverages a broad footprint and lower relative density to create multiple outdoor destinations, including a resort-style pool environment and expansive turf courtyard, providing students with a variety of spaces for gathering, recreation, and informal study.
The architecture uses disciplined massing and a calm, contemporary material palette to manage the scale of the development, combining a brick base with white, gray, and soft green cladding to create a more approachable street presence. Amenity planning emphasizes everyday flexibility, with study pods, multiple wellness spaces, two heated pools, two fitness centers, and direct university transportation access supporting both academic routines and social life. For developers, the project demonstrates how large-scale student housing can serve as both a strong-performing residential asset and a catalyst for district-level revitalization.
