Union on Frank

Union on Frank is an off-campus student housing community in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, serving the University of Alabama and designed to create a strong connection between amenity experience, campus culture, and neighborhood context. Located on a 1.85-acre infill site, the development includes 238 units with 396 beds and is supported by a four-story structured parking garage, positioning the project to maximize density while preserving pedestrian accessibility near Bryant-Denny Stadium and The Strip.

The interior design strategy translates that urban student-living context into a layered amenity experience defined by industrial-inspired materials, bold graphics, and social, highly usable common spaces. Standout interior features include a double-height lobby lounge with open stair, a collaborative meeting and study area, and a branded reception zone with textured finishes and integrated feature walls, representing a broader amenity program without listing it in full. Exposed brick, polished concrete, warm wood tones, cognac and blue upholstery, graphic art, and statement lighting work together to create a memorable identity that supports student engagement, competitive positioning, and long-term asset value.
